Cooking Method
In Open Pot:
- Soak 1 cup (200g) rice in water for 120 minutes and then drain out the water properly.
- Boil 6 to 8 cups of water and add the soaked rice. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and drain out the water properly. Fluff and serve.
In Covered Pot:
- Soak 1 cup (200g) rice in water for 120 minutes and then drain out the water properly.
- Combine soaked rice and ½ cups of water. Bring to a boil and stir occasionally. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat, but don’t uncover the rice for at least 5 minutes. Fluff and serve.
In Microwave:
- Soak 1 cup (200g) rice in water for 120 minutes and then drain out the water properly.
- Combine soaked rice and ½ cups of water. Cover and microwave on high heat for 3 minutes. Stir, cover, and cook on medium heat for another 10 minutes.
- Let the rice remain covered for 5 minutes. Fluff and serve!
